Our Team
-
Magda - Studio Director
The driving force behind Dancing for Dessert Studio, Magda has always known she wanted to be a dancer. Polynesian dancing, Flamenco and Ballet are all part of her past, but Ballroom and Latin has always been her passion.
Magda has been a Canadian Ballroom finalist, Ohio Star Ball Rising Star finalist and 1/2 of the inaugural dance team on the Queen Mary II cruise ship. But her proudest accomplishment by far is the founding of the Studio.
-
Andrew - Dance Director
Andrew took his first dance lesson in 1997 and began teaching soon after in 1998. It was the beginning of both his career, and his partnership with Magda. Together they danced all around the world, and ultimately found a permanent dance home in Walnut Grove in 2005.
As competitors Andrew & Magda were Canadian Ballroom finalists. Andrew is a certified member of the Canadian Dancesport Federation in each of Standard, Latin, Smooth and Rhythm.
-
Sharon - Reception
Sharon is the smiling face that welcomes you as you enter the studio! She will be happy to answer your questions, take your payment and register you for your class.
When she is not at the studio, she likes to stay active by walking the Fort to Fort, or Houston trail or you may even catch her on the grouse grind. She also enjoys cheering on her daughter and team mates at her volleyball or basketball games.
-
Claire - Instructor
Claire started her dance career at age 8 on the playground where she taught her friends all the latest boy band moves! She is still loving teaching dance, many years later, and particularly enjoys the smiles that light up her students faces when they really “get it”.
In addition to her dancing Claire loves to hang out with her kids and her dog and makes amazing desserts and the odd batch of mead.
Claire is a certified member of the Canadian Dancesport Federation in the Core Dances category.
-
